The Charlottesville
Civil War Round Table is a group of people who are interested in the
Civil war, and meet monthly to hear noted historians and authors speak
on various topics related to America's Civil war history. The Round
Table also encourages efforts to preserve battlefields and historic
Civil war sites, with tours to different sites scheduled periodically.
Meetings
are held the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:30PM. Join us for dinner
at 5:30PM at Elks Lodge #389 located at 389 Elks Drive. Directions:
From Route 250, turn onto Highway 20/Stony Point Road. At
first traffic light, turn left onto Elks Drive. Enter through the
front door and head left to the dining room for dinner or right to the
ballroom for the meeting. Dinner
Menu: Choice of grilled chicken breast, prime rib, or crab cakes.
Buying dinner is NOT required to attend the meeting;
however, dinner reservations are required if dinner is desired.

the Picket Post, an informative newsletter, each month with a preview of
the speaker and program, a summary of the previous program and featured
articles by the staff reporter.
